Warner Bros. International Enterprises released LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes officially on 1st March 2016. This is taken as an important part of the development of the LEGO series. In addition to retaining the fun and charm as in previous ones, this series further brings a large open world to the players where Gotham City is explored by them in an entirely different style. This game was created to entertain the player with its combination of actions and puzzle elements, allowing him/her to switch between their character-a very interesting approach for simple gamers and serious fans of superheroes.

The best part about LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes is, undoubtedly, having an open world. It’s another LEGO game; what makes this unique among the others is that it had straight levels, whereas here, players can go freely around Gotham City- having famous places like Wayne Manor, Arkham Asylum, and the Batcave. This large area invites players for exploration and pays them rewards by finding hidden items and extra missions. By using it, one could save people who are in trouble or find some Gold Bricks hidden within the city. This not only caters more to replayability but also adds a touch of immersion since players find themselves in a living, breathing Gotham.

The gameplay is simple yet offers several options: the ability to switch between characters and special skills for each that make it important in passing through difficulties and defeating enemies. He has different suits for special powers, like the electricity suit to power up devices and a stealth suit that helps him pass by enemies without being noticed, whereas Robin has his gadgets. Most famous characters in DC include Superman and Wonder Woman, who join into the fray with different skills. This variety encourages the testing of numerous character combinations with solutions to puzzles and further progression in missions.

There are 15 major story missions set within most parts of the Gotham City locale. Each one of these missions is designed to be completed within a pretty short amount of time so it’s pretty accessible for players who do not have loads of hours to splurge on the game. But where the real richness of the game really lies is in its side quests and collectibles. Besides, players would like to go back to the finished missions with other characters in order to activate more content and get a better percentage of completion. That just adds more challenges and keeps up the players’ interest even in finishing the main plot.

Visually speaking, LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes does indeed have great graphics and quite the details of the locales. This game totally justifies the spirit of LEGO and DC Comics through its art. Smooth and comical character movement; this sits very well with the tone of the LEGO game series, as well as a certain kind of thrilling excitement in fight scenes. And to complete it all, there’s well-known music from previous Batman films-giving it a lot of charm and bringing back memories to fans.
